Raw and Real
Mentally Aware
Mentally Aware isn’t just another blog — it’s a space where the difficult, the ignored and the uncomfortable finally get the attention they deserve.
Too often, conversations around mainstream issues like mental health, justice, relationships, climate and society are filtered, avoiding the raw and unsettling truths that shape our world. Mentally aware is here to change that. This blog is about going deeper, asking the hard questions, challenging surface-level narratives and exposing the realities no one wants to face.
Because if we never talk about it, how do we ever change it?

“We live in a world that constantly avoids discomfort, always choosing quick solutions over real change. Forgetting the reality that ignoring an issue doesn’t erase it.”
Muki Phehle
This blog isn’t about being “woke.” It’s about being aware— aware of what’s happening, why it’s happening and how it affects us all.

At Mentally Aware, we’re committed to:

What We Cover
We focus on issues that are often spoken about, but not properly discussed. The things people acknowledge, but don’t truly understand or confront.
Mental Health
Justice and Society
Gender Roles
& More
These aren’t just buzzwords—they’re real issues that shape our world and personal experiences. This blog isn’t here to tell you what to think, but rather to challenge perspectives, spark meaningful conversations, and encourage you to think for yourself.
Whether you agree, disagree, or find yourself somewhere in between, we invite you to explore, reflect, and engage.

About Me
I’ve always believed that the most important conversations are often the ones people are too afraid to have.
From a young age, I saw the world for what it is -flawed, unfair and full of contradictions. I experienced firsthand how mental health struggles, bullying, social injustice, climate change and unspoken realities can shape a person. And what frustrated me the most?
No one wanted to talk about it.
People discuss mental health, but they don’t ask why someone is struggling in the first place. Society preaches equality, but still refuses to address the systems that keep people marginalised. We throw around words like “progress,” yet we constantly ignore the deeper, harder truths.
That’s why I created Mentally Aware—to talk about the real issues beneath the surface. The ones that make people uncomfortable. The ones that challenge what we think we know. The ones that force us to see the world differently.
I started this blog because:
I know what it’s like to feel unheard.
I know the impact of unspoken struggles.
I want to start conversations that actually matter.
This isn’t a blog for sugarcoated activism or surface-level awareness. This is a blog for people who want to question, understand and confront reality head-on.
If you’ve ever felt like your struggles weren’t acknowledged, like your voice didn’t matter or like the world is moving forward while still making the same mistakes— you’re not alone.
Let’s talk about it. Let’s be Mentally Aware.

Editorial Integrity
Every article on Mentally Aware is research-driven, experience-based and unfiltered. We don’t publish for clicks or empty activism, we write to start real conversations that actually matter. There are no sponsors influencing our voice, no brands dictating our content. Every topic is chosen, because it needs to be discussed, questioned and challenged.
We post once a week, covering the hard truths society often ignores.
